Phase One Signs Alliance to Launch Africare ICT

Phase One is committed to providing modern, platform and cloud based solutions to the African continent.  In this effort, Phase One has signed a groundbreaking, exclusive alliance agreement with Africare, the largest Africa-centric NGO on the continent.  This alliance agreement is designed to add information and communication technology (ICT) as a core service offering that Africare can provide to the 20 nations that it currently serves. The marriage of Africare's local knowledge, and Phase One's technical solutions capability, will greatly enhance how solutions are designed and delivered.  The alliance has taken shape as Africare ICT, a new arm within the Africare family.

Africare's almost entirely African staff has an unparalleled knowledge of the continent – its challenges and opportunities. To ensure institutional strengthening and capacity building, Africare programs emphasize active community participation and partnerships with local organizations.

Information and communications technology (ICT) can significantly increase the rate at which nations are strengthened and capacity is built. More effective national systems and better access to critical data will spur investment and propel national economies. Today, Africa is experiencing an information technology explosion that will drive the growth and prosperity of many African nations.

Africare ICT will harness the great opportunities afforded by ICT, building upon existing systems and leveraging local talent and resources to accelerate development in crucial sectors like health care and education. Africare ICT will work with local organizations to better understand country-specific needs and make recommendations for how ICT can be used to meet those needs rapidly. Africare ICT will then implement the information and communications solutions in-country, greatly benefiting from local knowledge and Africare's trusted country presence.

The Africare ICT brand is immediately viable through the alliance with Phase One. As a global provider of IT solutions, Phase One has the expertise and available solutions to deliver what is needed in country. In fact, many of the solutions Phase One has developed on other continents can be applied with great impact in Africa.

As Africare ICT embarks on this challenging mission, follow us for updates on our progress. To stay up to date, follow @Africare@AfricareICT and @PhaseOneCG and visit the Africare ICT website. Exciting things are ahead!
